Skiathos Travel Guide
Skiathos have been kept a top secret by individuals who learned about it a long time ago and keep heading back every single year. This island has been through a lot of alterations throughout the last 20 years but it retains that "je ne sais quoi?". I picked out a hotel by looking at web critiques - Magic Hotel in Agia Paraskevi, located within a little bay center of the island, great location and wonderful sea vistas.

Staying close to the beach, I got up almost all mornings to the sound from the surf in the sea. Hotel employees could hardly do enough for their visitors, always tuned in to your requirements and friendly. The meals was perfect, both at breakfast time and supper. Some nights, on a quick bus journey into Skiathos town, we took a captivating walk down the port, stopped off for a beverage or two at one of several watering holes on the steps before the church along with an evening meal in a fish restaurant.

We went to a few beach locations, they all looked similar with their gold sand, very clear water, not as crowded, but our preferred was Paraskevi beach as it was a stone's throw from the hotel. Early night we would sit down on our balcony sipping a wine or two whilst consuming the spectacular views. Regionally, there are lots of restaurants and drink, several supermarkets and a few even sold overseas magazines and newspapers.
